SF B.A. Students Design For the Macy's Flower Show
Through April 7, 2019, the 73rd annual Macy's Flower Show, "Journey to Paradisios," highlighting 139 varieties of flowers, trees, and plants with a sci-fi and space-age theme—and the design work of FIDM San Francisco students.
Each year, Macy's marquee stores in New York, Chicago, and San Francisco are transformed into a fantasy of flora and plants from around the world. Millions of guests view the breathtaking two-week exhibition, featuring themed events, craft demonstrations, specialty gardens, space exploration programs for kids, and more.
Nestled among the Aeonium, Raphis 'Lady Palm,' and Beschorneria 'Flamingo Glow' are avant garde designs by FIDM B.A. Design Students. Their otherworldly creations may be viewed on the Geary Street side of the Macy's building in the windows overlooking Union Square on floors 3, 5, and 7.
国产偷拍视频Once the Macy's Flower Show closes, its blooms will go on sale to benefit the non-profit organization Delancey Street Foundation. The installations will be moved back to the San Francisco campus on April 9th and will be on display in the Library and lobby.
